If you're just getting started creating loops I would probably start with Reason. The sequencer is pretty limited but you can still create plenty of cool stuff. Its a little spendy, but for around $500 you should be able to get the software and a little midi controller. I use reason for making all of my loops and then trigger them with abbleton live, which is slightly more complicated but much easier once you learn the software. If you spend some time searching the web you can find some tutorials on how to use both pieces of software pretty effectivly.

I have also tried to upload (only 7MB .zip file) and the upload seems to time out. Is there another way to submit?

Have quite a few loops to upload, but most ~50-100 MB zipped - lots of samples. Posting function seems to sort of timeout. Any suggestions on how to post the larger files? I could post just the mp3's, but then you don't get the control over the samples...
